Can we help?

We have experienced a recent tragedy with the overwhelming loss this past week in Connecticut. Countless families and friends have been directly affected and many others have been mourning for those lost.

Some of you may be asking, “How could you possibly help others during these times?” None of us can change what happened in the past, but there are those who are working to change the future.

Here is a link to a video of people who are trying to rebuild hope. Please, watch it if you haven’t already.

You may know someone around you who is currently hurting and you may not know how to help them through their struggle. You might, unknowingly, be the pillar of strength that holds them up. You can listen, ask what you can do for them, cry with them, or even fight alongside them.

And maybe, just maybe, you can make a difference.

“No one is useless in this world who lightens the burdens of another.”
-Charles Dickens

So how about today?

Today is the day to change the world.

First Day to Change

This is the first day to start change. Why not today?                                                           Your mind can give you every excuse why not today:

My schedule is already completely booked for today.

Well, I have this important thing I have to do later.

Uh, you see, the thing is…

…I gotta go.

Tomorrow works better for me.

It’s impossible to keep track of how many times this one has been used. It is probably being used now more than ever. The goal is to try to break this habit and stop using the excuse of: “I don’t really know what to do right now.”

That is what this blog is for: figuring out what to do today to make a change. The hope is for this to grow into a place of interaction and great ideas that spread. Maybe, together, we can do something.

So how about today?

Today is the day to change the world.
